Lawrence Taylor has officially pled guilty to sexual misconduct after being charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl.
As previously reported, Taylor was charged in June for having sex with the teen prostitute in a New York hotel room.
Following that Taylor's lawyer sought to suppress statements he made during his arrest because police did not have a warrant.
Taylor appeared in court Thursday and admitted to having sex with the prostitute but claimed that she said she was 19.
His guilty plea was part of a plea deal from the prosecution for his cooperation in helping law enforcement with human trafficking cases.
He also pled guilty to patronizing a prostitute, a second- misdemeanor charge that will carry no jail time.
He will have six years probation and register as a sex offender.
